Our clinical staff hold credentials that have been accepted by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to be able to practice marriage & family therapy. Associates are supervised by a licensed clinical supervisor and managed by the owner of the clinic. Staff hold consultations each week with their supervisors to provide competent care based on your treatment plan.

Ashley Hanley is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with Janz Family Therapy. Ashley has a passion for working with people in any stage of life navigating through life situations. Ashley is dedicated to providing competent, compassionate care to individuals and families by providing a non-judgmental environment and unconditional positive regard. Ashley is committed to empowering her clients to navigate challenges and providing a safe environment. Ashley individualizes treatment plans for each client, tailoring a specific treatment plan to meet each client's unique needs. Ashley integrates a biopsychosocial (i.e., physical health, coping skills, social skills, relationships, self-esteem, social life, peer relationship, and family dynamics) approach to health and wellness, including nutrition as a clinician to better understand the person as a whole. Ashley has experience working withstudents ranging from elementary years through high school, to young adulthood. Ashley has worked with individuals experiencing challenges related to low self-esteem, family conflict, anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, and mood disorder. 

Ashley is originally from Southern California. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Science with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy Clinical Counseling from California Baptist University, Riverside. At California Baptist University, she studied family systems and is well-versed.

Lena Ohanian is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with Janz Family Therapy. She recieved her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Palo Alto University, with emphasis in Marriage, Family and Children.  Lena has provided counseling to the Fresno community since 2022 working with individuals, groups, and couples. Lena believes in the importance of therapy being fostered to fit within the cultural frame of her clients. Lena’s person-centered approach has a focus on the use of mindfulness and self-awareness to help her clients see, reach, and accept their true selves. Lena enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds who seek to collaborate with their therapist in creating a more fulfilling lived experience.

Sarah previously served a practicum at Andrew’s Community Counseling Center. She is a graduate of both Fresno Pacific University, and Andrew’s University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Micayla is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with Janz Family Therapy. She attended California Baptist University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, MFT. Micayla previously worked for San Bernardino Preschool Services where she provided therapy for children, adults, and families. She worked with children who displayed challenging behaviors and adults with depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and difficulty in different stages of life. Micayla has a passion for helping and supporting others along their journey toward creating change, healing, and wellness, as well as achieving their goals in therapy. Elizabeth's journey began with an undergraduate degree in criminal justice from Fresno State University, followed by five years of hands-on experience in case management. During this time, she worked with a diverse range of individuals, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of their lives. Motivated by a passion for helping others, Elizabeth decided to further her education and returned to Fresno State to pursue a master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. Her commitment to making a difference led her to Mollie's House, a Short Term Residential Treatment Program focused on aiding teens who have been victims of human trafficking. Here, Elizabeth honed her skills and gained experience in supporting vulnerable populations.

Vanessa previously worked for Pajaro Valley Prevention & Student Assistance for two years where she provided school based mental health services to children, adolescents, and families who struggled with difficult life transitions, family separation, depression, anxiety, and grief and loss. She is passionate to help and support individuals and families receiving hospice and palliative care services find peace and acceptance at the end of life. Heather is from the Central Valley and graduated with a master's degree in science with an emphasis in marriage & family therapy from California State University, Los Angeles. Heather has served as President for the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, Central San Joaquin Valley Chapter.
